Carteret, NJ, is a very convenient town in Middlesex County, NJ, right off Exit 12 on the NJ Turnpike. It is an ultra-convenient town that borders the Port Reading section of Woodbridge, NJ, to the south and the Avenel section of Woodbridge, NJ, to the west. The town has a handful of restaurants and a performing arts center. And in recent years, the township has been granted transportation grants to build a ferry terminal along its waterfront that will connect residents to lower Manhattan and parts of Hudson County.
